On June 8th, 2020, SORANO HOTEL is opening at GREEN SPRINGS which will be the new hot spot of Tokyo from this April. It was originally scheduled to be open in May 12th. However, due to coronavirus pandemic, the grand opening has been delayed for almost a month.
While the hotel is conveniently located not far from the central Tokyo (located in Tachikawa which takes less than 30 minutes by train from Shinjuku), it is also very close to the nature too. Sorano Hotel is walking distance from Showa Kinen Park, which is one of the largest national parks in Japan. In fact, the hotel has the view of the entire park.
Gwenael Nicolas who designed luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana stores in Milan and London, Jean-Georges stores in Tokyo and Dubai was in charge of the design of Sorano Hotel. No wonder pictures from the official website looks so stylish! Check out their Instagram too.
Sorano Hotel has 81 rooms. Room rate starts from ¥52,734 (including 10% consumption tax) per room per night so I wouldn’t say it’s cheap. But this is per room rate and you can share it with up to 4 people for some room types.
The theme of Sorano Hotel is “Well-Being” so it wants to offer you relaxing and healthy experience with facilities like spa and hot spring. Rooftop of two floors from 10F and 11F is “SORANO SPA” and this is where the infinity pool of natural spring water is available. From here, you can view Mt. Fuji and Showa Kinen Park.
They also offer what’s called Well-being “Slow” Breakfast. When I checked the site (as of March, 2020), it was from ¥1,100 per person per night.
One of the attractive things about Sorano Hotel was that they have dog-friendly rooms which come with a large balcony for dogs. You can spend some time with your dogs at Showa Kinen Park too! Such dog-friendly rooms come in two types.
You can make reservation for a room at Sorano Hotel already! They are offering Grand Opening Package which includes voucher for breakfast at All Day Dining DAICHINO RESTAURANT.
They also have the SORANO HOTEL Special Offers Program where you can sign up to receive a free ticket to use the Infinity Pool on the hotel’s 11th floor.
