Green Springs in Tachikawa opened in April. Nevertheless, due to COVID-19 opening of many shops were delayed and PLAY! was one of them. Finally, PLAY! MUSEUM and PLAY! PARK are opening in June!
PLAY! is a complex cultural facility with an art museum called PLAY! MUSEUM and a playground for parents and children called PLAY! PARK.

PLAY! MUSEUM is opening this coming Wednesday, June 10th, 2020! PLAY! MUSEUM is an art museum that everybody can enjoy. They will have two exhibitions, “Special Exhibition” and “Permanent Exhibition”.
Eric Carle: Book to Play

An exhibition by Eric Carle, the world’s best-selling author known as “Very Hungry Caterpillar”. From the perspective of a picture book as a “toy”, exhibition gallery will be filled with original illustrations of picture books, biographies, video to approach the essence of the artist. This exhibition is organized by The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, Amherst, Massachusetts, United States.

“KAOTEN.” of tupera tupera

A new exhibition presented by the popular artist tupera tupera. Visitors transform with “Kao (face) Stickers” and enter the exhibition room, where they watch and become part of tupera tupera’s work. After enjoying plenty of original illustrations for picture books, new video work, and participatory contents in the exhibitions, visitors can still enjoy playing with face by means of a giveaway tool.

PLAY! PARK will also open but a little bit later on Friday June 19th, 2020. However, they announced that due to COVID-19 they will be running provisional programs. You will need to make a reservation to use PLAY! PARK to avoid crowdedness. Details to be announced.
Seven play zones will be closed for a while due to COVID-19.
They will be selling about 200 kinds of original goods such as stationery, etc. based on PLAY! MUSEUM exhibitions, as well as products with the PLAY! MUSEUM logo.

Adults: 1,500 Yen
College student: 1,000 Yen
High School student: 800 Yen
Junior High school and primary school: 500 Yen

* Half price for those who present the Handbook for Persons with Disabilities and one assistant
No advanced ticket available.
Photos and videos can be taken at all venues for personal use.
