Are you a foreigner who just started to live in Japan and seeking help about life in Japan? Here’s the site that you are looking for!
It’s a PORTAL made by the Japanese Ministry of Justice to provide useful information for foreigners residing in Japan and their supporters. They recently opened it in April 1st, 2019. (I know it doesn’t look new at all!! But what do you expect from a site made by the government. ;-))
The portal is both in Japanese and English. Above link will direct you to English site.
It has lots of information to support you in terms of both on living and working in Japan as foreigners. Here is a screenshot of table of contents for guidebook.
Basically it covers from entering Japan, getting jobs, medical care, childbirth, taxes, housing, and to daily life, etc. Anything you can think of when living in one country.
As a foreigner myself, I remember the time when it wasn’t that easy to go around and get information. I hope this is helpful!
Feel free to leave me a comment if you have any question. If there is anything I can be a help, I would love to support!
Cheers!
