Did you know that there is beach in Tachikawa? Well, it’s a fake beach.
It’s hard to believe when a heatwave continues, but it seems the fall is approaching. I even heard a cricket chirping outside of my house the other day. Now that I expect cooler weather, BBQ with friends sounds like an idea! Today, I would like to introduce a good place in Tachikawa for BBQ.
Tachihi Beach is a fake beach that is one minute walk from Tachihi Station. It’s a fake beach so you can only find beach sand and no ocean. Oh well. At least I can do BBQ on a beach and it’s really conveniently located. If you have a toddler, convenience is always welcome.
What’s good about Tachihi Beach BBQ place is that you just need to bring food and don’t need to bring heavy tools and dishes. They provide pretty much anything you need to do BBQ (including hammock!). In addition, you can just leave all the trash behind. So basically you come with food to eat and you leave empty-handed. Doesn’t it sound great?!

It’s one minute walk from Tachihi Station of Tama Toshi Monorail Line. Lalaport, a shopping mall with supermarket also, is walking distance so it is recommended to buy food for BBQ. You can even use their parking lot if you made purchase there! (On weekday, parking is free.)
